Kenneth Cron, who in April was named interim chief executive officer of beleaguered Computer Associates when Sanjay Kumar resigned, has added some new responsibilities at another company to his CA tasks.
Cron, in fact, has been named chairman of the board of entertainment software provider Midway Games. Cron, a former chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal Games, will also serve on Midway’s nominating and compensation committees.
In a statement to CA employees Monday morning, chairman Lewis Ranieri said Cron’s new position won’t have “any impact” on the interim CEO’s role at CA, according to Newsday.
He added that Cron “is committed to stay” in the interim CEO position until a permanent replacement is found, according to the paper.
