CFOs on the Move: Week Ending October 8

ConocoPhillips, Harris Interactive, U.S. Concrete, Bazaarvoice, Ektron, AcelRx Pharmaceuticals, SJW, MediaNet Group Technologies.

Jeff Sheets has been promoted to senior vice president, finance, and CFO of ConocoPhillips Co. Sheets, who had been senior vice president, commercial and planning & strategy, succeeds Sigmund Cornelius, who announced he would retire at the end of the year.

Market-research company Harris Interactive has named Pavan Bhalla as its new CFO and treasurer. He takes over the top finance spot from Eric Narowski, who has been interim CFO since November and will continue as global controller and principal accounting officer at the firm. Most recently, Bhalla was CFO of the HR Outsourcing unit at Hewitt Associates Inc.

James Lewis will lead the finance function at U.S. Concrete Inc. Previously, he was treasurer of McDermott International Inc.

Software-as-a-service provider Bazaarvoice has named Stephen Collins to the top finance spot. Collins is a former president and CEO of Juris; before that, he was CFO and CIO of DoubleClick.

Ektron Inc. has appointed Sean Lannan to head finance. He joins the Web content management provider from BBN Technologies, where he had been CFO since 2007.

James Welch is the new finance chief at AcelRx Pharmaceuticals Inc. Previously, he was CFO of Cerimon Pharmaceuticals.

SJW Corp., parent company of San Jose Water Co., has named James Lynch CFO and treasurer. He comes to the firm from KPMG LLP, where he was an audit partner.

Mark Mroczkowski will head finance at marketing firm MediaNet Group Technologies Inc. A former CFO and COO of Sequiam Corp., he has been a consultant to MediaNet for the past several months.
