CFOs on the Move: Week Ending July 1

Dynegy, Virtual Instruments, Brocade Communications Systems, GrafTech International, Aruba Networks, CryoPort, Horan, AccelOps, Primus Telecommunications Group.

Clint Freeland has been appointed to the top finance spot at Dynegy Inc. He joins the power company from NRG Energy, where he was senior vice president, strategy & financial structure.

Storage area network company Virtual Instruments has named George Harrington CFO. He is a former vice president of finance and chief accounting officer of Symantec.

Brocade Communications Systems Inc. has promoted Dan Fairfax to lead the finance function. He replaces Richard Deranleau, who has left the company. Fairfax had been vice president of global services.

GrafTech International Ltd. has named Lindon Robertson to head finance, effective July 18. He comes to the manufacturer of graphite and carbon-based products from IBM, where he most recently was senior managing director of IBM Japan.

Michael Galvin has been promoted to finance chief at Aruba Networks Inc. Galvin, who has been at the company since 2005, has been interim CFO since April.

Robert Stefanovich has been appointed CFO, corporate secretary, and treasurer of packaging-system developer CryoPort Inc. He is a former CFO of Novalar Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Financial-services and employee-benefits consultancy Horan has named Kurt Krebs to lead the finance function. Previously, he was an audit manager at Ernst & Young, as well as a line of business CFO at Fifth Third Bank.

AccelOps Inc. has appointed William Delaney to the top finance spot. In the past, he has headed finance at ConSentry Networks, MediaQ, and Chelsio Communications.

Ken Schwarz has been named finance chief at Primus Telecommunications Group. James Keeley, acting CFO since September, will become chief accounting officer and treasurer. Schwarz is a former president of Simplexity LLC.
