Specialty food retailer The Fresh Market, Inc. appointed Jeffrey Ackerman to head finance, effective June 3. He replaces Lisa Klinger, who resigned last November to take a post with a private equity-backed apparel retailer. Ackerman was most recently CFO at bedding manufacturer Sealy Corp.
KeyCorp has picked Donald Kimble as its new CFO, succeeding Jeffrey Weeden, who recently announced that he will retire from the banking company. Kimble had been heading finance at Huntington Bancshares, where David Anderson was announced as interim CFO.
At Tellabs Inc., CFO Andrew Szafran has resigned for personal reasons, the company said. Tom Minichiello, the company’s vice president of finance and chief accounting officer, will serve in the role until a permanent replacement for Szafran is named.
Cosmetics company Colorescience appointed Steve Loomis as finance chief. He most recently was vice president of operations at CardioDynamics International Corp. Before that he was director of financial reporting at Kinko’s World Headquarters and CFO and treasurer of Terminal Data Corp.
China Health Labs & Diagnostics Ltd. has appointed Chao Zhang to lead finance, effective May 31. He will replace Judyanna Chen, who will resign to “pursue other opportunities.”
That was also the reason given for the departure of Kurt Gustafson from the top finance post at biopharmaceutical firm Halozyme Therapeutics Inc. The company promoted David Ramsay from vice president of corporate development to fill the role.
Gentex Corp., a maker of rearview mirrors and electronic parts, said CFO Steve Dykman has given up the post but will stay on as a consultant. His replacement is Steve Downing, promoted from vice president of commercial management.
Cruise Lines International Association has named Thomas Fischetti to be its new finance chief. He formerly was CFO at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.
Kevin Murphy has joined Adena Health System as CFO. He arrives from Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Mich., where he also ran finance.
